Job Description

Due to our tremendous growth, we are looking to add an Entry Level HR/ Recruiting Assistant to our team located in Irving.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests
  • Oversee the completion of new hire paperwork
  • Compiling reports and preparing spreadsheets
  • Working with Admin team on employee appreciation and events
  • Answering employee questions
  • Posting job ads and organizing resumes and job applications
  • Ensuring background and reference checks are completed
  • Preparing new employee files
  • Serving as point of contact for new employee questions
  • Setting up new employees on time tracking
  • Maintain current HR files
  • Answer general payroll questions
  • Order business cards

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve programs in a timely manner
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees, members of the HR management team, and in group presentations and meetings
  • Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze information
  • Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently
  • Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
  • Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback
  • Proven experience as an HR Assistant, Staff Assistant, or relevant human resources/administrative position
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools
  • Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
  • Exposure to payroll practices.
  • Understanding of HR functions and best practices
  • Hands-on experience with an HRIS or HRMS an asset.
  • Bilingual- Spanish is preferred
